Special Collection

The state of Kerala, India, which has the largest Christian population in the nation, has recently been devastated by the most extreme flash flooding and landslides in nearly a century.  According to reports provided by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) which is actively working on site with the relief efforts, “hundreds of people are dead” and about 1,000,000 people have been displaced by the catastrophic flooding.  These displaced people are in desperate need of food, clothing, potable water, medicine, and shelter. Next weekend, September 22/23, we will be participating in a diocesan second collection to assist in the relief efforts.  We encourage your generosity to this collection.  Those who wish to donate to the relief efforts online can go to the diocesan website and follow the link for “Kerala Flood Relief”.  Thank you for your assistance to our suffering brothers and sisters devastated by this historic flooding.

The Food Pantry appreciates all that you do for those in need. Just a reminder – please do not leave food on the rectory steps or porches. ALL food should be left in the back of the church or in St. Theresa's chapel. Also, please check expiration dates. We cannot distribute expired food and must throw it out. Thank you for your cooperation and assistance.

Teachers Aides Needed

We are in need of teachers for our Religious Education Program to teach our children God's Word and anyone interested in being a Teacher's Aide (adult or any child in 8th grade or above) please contact John Kobiernicki at 732-721-1514.

Altar Servers Needed

Altar ServersAltar Servers are needed for all Masses – we welcome students in grade 3 and up who have made their First Communion to become a server.  Three short training sessions take place before being scheduled and new servers are always paired with veterans while they are learning.  Anyone who is interested should contact the Director of Religious Education, John Kobiernicki, at 732-721-1514 or via email at or see any priest or deacon after Mass.

Greeters Anyone wishing to greet fellow parishioners and visitors as they enter the church, or hand out bulletins as they exit after Mass are encouraged to do so. Responding in a special way to Pope Francis' visit to the United States, we especially encourage families to take part in this activity as a group. There's
no commitment, and you never know how holding the door for someone or a kind "good morning" affects someone. Anyone who would like more information may call Pat Regan at 732-727-2768.
